Patrick Reed Wins Humana Challenge

La Quinta, CA (SportsNetwork.com) -- After three record-setting days, Patrick Reed managed a 1-under 71 Sunday and  hung on for a 2-stroke win at the Humana Challenge.

Reed finished at 28-under-par 260. He had the set the tour record for lowest 54-hole score in relation to par after starting the tournament with three straight 63s.

The victory was Reed's second on the PGA Tour. He led by seven at the start of the final round, and his winning margin of two strokes was the closest anyone go tin the final round on the Palmer Private Course at PGA West.

Ryan Palmer grabbed second place at 26-under 262 after a final-round 63. Zach Johnson, who won the Tournament of Champions in Hawaii, fired a 10-under 62 to soar into a share of third place at minus-25. He was joined there by Justin Leonard, who closed with a 65.

Brian Stuard also shot 65 on Sunday to grab fifth at 24-under 264. Bill Haas, the 2010 winner, posted a 5-under 67. He ended alongside Brendon Todd (69) in sixth at minus-23. Chad Collins fired a 65 to take eighth at 22-under 266.
