EHS Wins, T-town Ties Team Score Record in Golf Action

Effingham claimed a 158-164 boys golf victory over Flora at the Flora Country Club Tuesday.
The Hearts were led by freshman Callaway Smith with a 35. He tied Flora's John Casolari and Robert Casolari for medalist honors as both tallied 35.
Also scoring for EHS were Jackson Wendling 39, Jake Linders 42 and Sean Sandifer 42. EHS improves to 11-2 while Flora drops to 10-5.

Teutopolis scored a four-team victory with a 160 followed by Marshall 181, Casey-Westfield 182 and Cumberland 199 at the Bent Tree Golf Course.
The team score of 160 once again ties the Teutopolis High School boys golf team score record for a match. This is the second time this season, the Wooden Shoes have shot a 160 to tie the record.
Scoring for T-town were Chad Zerrusen and Justin Kowalski with a 39 each for medalist honors, Kyle Brumleve 40 and Evan Schlink 42.

Centralia Christ Our Rock came calling and handed host Altamont a 175-190 loss at the St. Elmo Country Club Tuesday.
Austin Gate shot a par 36 to claim medalist honors for Christ Our Rock Lutheran. Also scoring were Eli Palm 43, Mitchell Kroeger 46 and Lucas Wessel 50. Non-counting score was Elijah Simpson 54.
Scoring for the Indians were Adam Mayhaus 44, Griffin Jackman 47, Logan Deadmond 49 and Justin McGinnis 50. Non-counting score was Cameron Jackman 51. Altamont drops to 7-12 while Christ Our Rock Lutheran is 12-8.
