Bulldogs Wins in Girls Golf Action, EHS Falls

PANA -- Effingham St. Anthony traveled to Oak Terrace Golf Course and took a triangular girls golf match over Pana and Raymond Lincolnwood Thursday.

The Bulldogs tallied a 190 followed by Pana 206 and Raymond Lincolnwood 229. Taylorville had one player competing.

Medalist was St. Anthony's Mariah Bushue with a 43. Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Madison Bushue 45, Abbie Schmidt 47 and Maddie Schuette 55. The victory gives the Bulldogs an 8-1 mark.

In the boys junior varsity match, Taylorville won with a 162 followed by Pana 192 and St. Anthony 198.

At Effingham

Charleston handed Effingham a 200-217 loss. EHS drops to 3-3 on the season. Medalist was Charleston's Lauren Chappell with a 38.

Scoring for EHS were Morgan Wilson 47, Alex Brummer 49, Hope Collier 56 and Madison Weis 65.

Scoring for Charleston were Chappell, Lynnzy Veach 50, Morgan Sherwood 54 and Ally O'Dell 59. Non-scorers were Aislinn Parish 58 and Abby Youngblood 60.
