St. A Girls, Boys JV Win; T-town Celebrates Sr. Night With Victory In Golf

Effingham St. Anthony's girls and junior varsity boys squads picked up victories at the Effingham Country Club Monday.

In girls varsity action, the Bulldogs won 184-208 over Tuscola. Leading the way for St. Anthony was Addie Krouse, who was medalist, with a 42. Also scoring were Mia Schwing 47, Sydney Kibler 47 and Maddy Brummer 48. The Bulldogs finished the regular season and will compete in the Charleston Regional Thursday.

Scoring for Tuscola were MaKenna Fiscus 50, Izzy Wilcox 52, Marley Good 53 and Addy Ring 53. Non-counters were Isabelle Stuart 60 and Jocelyn Ford 60.

In junior varsity boys action, the Bulldogs won 171-215. Medalist was St. Anthony's Alec Hakman with a 42. Also scoring were Dakota Flaig 43, Jack Swingler 43 and Aidan Tegeler 43. Others participating were Ryan Schmidt 44 and Ethan Karolewicz 55. Drake Brown had a 44, Maddux Clark 52, Keenan Griffith 54 and Luke Anderson 61.

Scoring for Tuscola were Braydon Gough 49, Jacob Waugh 50, Aiden Devlin 56 and Ryker Gough 60. Non-counters were Chris Atwater 60 and Carson Gaines 61.

 

At ECC

Teutopolis celebrated Senior Night with a 170-191 win over Sullivan at the Effingham Country Club Monday.

Medalist was Ethan Thoele with a 40 followed by Adam Lustig 41, Kole Ohnesorge 44 and Gabe Schlink and Brody Thoele a 45 each. Hayden Jansen and Kayden Zerrusen had a 46 each, Davin Worman and Noah Koester a 49 each and Landyn Thoele a 53.

Seniors on the Wooden Shoes squad are Adam Lustig, Gabe Schlink and Kayden Zerrusen.

Scoring for Sullivan were Bushue 41, Haegan 42, Woolen 51 and Saul 57. Non-counting scores were Watkins 62 and Palmer 68.

The Wooden Shoes finish regular season action with an 18-4 record. T-town will compete at the Robinson Regional Wednesday.

In girls action, Sullivan claimed a 193-208 victory.

Scoring for the Wooden Shoes were Abigail Wortman, Alaina Helmink, Halle Bushue 52 and Brileigh Bloemer 53. Others competing were Mollie Koester 59, Margaret Wente 59, Josie Deters 64 and Madi Deters 72.

T-town finished the regular season with an 8-14 record. The Shoes will be competing in the Charleston Regional Thursday.
