The U.S. team had a dominating Ryder Cup win Sunday at Whistling Straits Golf Course in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, handing Europe its worst-ever loss at 19-9 since it became part of the Ryder Cup in 1979.

Among the accomplishments of the 12-player team led by captain Steve Stricker: the U.S. didn’t lose a session for the first time in 44 years; Dustin Johnson became the first American to go 5-0 since 1979; and the six rookies scored more points than all the European players combined. Europe had won nine of the last 12 Ryder Cups.
