Winning the meet was Charleston with 391 strokes followed by Mahomet-Seymour 394, Mattoon 397, Effingham 419, Taylorville 472, Lincoln 476 and Mount Zion 488.

Medalist was Mattoon's Madden Johnson with a 78.  Following in the top eight were Jack Driscoll (Mount Zion) 79, Blake Harvey (Mahomet-Seymour) 79, Weston Grohne (Mount Zion) 79, Stewart Druin (Mattoon) 79, Preston Phillips (Charleston) 80, Zach Courson (Mahomet-Seymour) 81 and Blaine Powers (Mattoon) 81.

Sullivan won a four-team boys golf meet at the Sullivan Country Club Monday.

Sullivan tallied a 163 followed by Arcola 172, Altamont 172 and Central A&M 205.

Scoring for Altamont were Kevin Hall and Tyler Stonecipher with a 40 each, Avery Jahraus with a 43 and Zeke Rippetoe with a 49. Non-counters were AJ Kopplin and Alec Jahraus with a 58 each. The Indians are now 17-3-1 on the season.

"We were hitting the golf ball poorly this evening," said Altamont coach Jim Strange. "With that happening, the wind made our shots worse. It was a nice but difficult course on a few holes."
