American Tony Finau is at the top of the leaderboard after the first round of the Memorial at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Ohio Thursday, with a one-stroke lead over Ryan Palmer.

Tiger Woods, playing on the PGA Tour for the first time in five months, ended the round five shots back at one-under par.
