EHS Girls Golf Falls To Charleston, St. A JV Boys Third

CHARLESTON -- The Effingham High School girls golf squad fell to Charleston, 171-194 in Wednesday action.

Charleston's Lauren Chappell was medalist with a 38. Also scoring for the Trojans were Morgan Sherwood 41, Aislin Parish 45 and Ally O'Dell 47. Non-counters were Haley Walker 50 and Paige Chappell 57.

Scoring for the Hearts were Alex Brummer 42, Kaylee Tonn 46, Hope Collier 50 and Keira Hirtzel 56. Non-counting scores were Abbi Burgess 58 and Lindsey Stephenson 72.

At Decatur

In a junior varsity boys golf meet, LSA tallied a victory with a 151 followed by Decatur St. Teresa 177, St. Anthony 178 and Hartem 187.

Medalist was Cayden Brilley from St. Teresa with a 35. LSA took the next four spots as Dylan Ground had a 36, Mitch Creamer a 36, Austin Brown a 39 and Dayton Pate a 40.

Scoring for St. Anthony were Will Willenborg 42, Trey Koester 43, Ethan Rozene 46 and Nathan Schultz 47.
