World Youth Day Golf Scramble Scheduled

The World Youth Day Golf Scramble will be held Saturday, July 25 at Cardinal Golf Course. Women and children golfers will tee off from red markers while men and boys, aged 15 and older, will tee off from the white markers.

Proceeds will be used to support Effingham area youths to attend the pilgrimage to see Pope Francis in Krakow, Poland in 2016 during World Youth Day, as well as together with young people throughout the world in worship and devotion to God.

The four person scramble costs $200 per team. They can be men, women, kids. Registration is at noon and the shotgun start is at 1 p.m.

Awards and prizes will go for a hole in one, $10,000. Longest putt, longest drive (men and women), closest to the pin and first place team. Bring your own drinks. Supper will be provided after 18 holes of golf. Each golfer will receive a grab bag as a token of appreciation.

Send the name of the person to contact with mailing address, city, state, zip and phone number and mail along with $200 for the four person team or if you can't make it, send a donation. Print the four team members names.
