EHS Girls Lose, T-town Boys Win in Golf

Effingham Higih School saw its girls golf record drop to 19-4 on the season with a 189-194 loss to Mattoon Thursday.
Effingham's Morgan Wilson and Mattoon's Lauren Spain were co-medalists with a 44 each. Alex Brummer tallied a 45 for the Hearts while Hope Collier added a 51 and Kaylee Tonn a 54. Madison Weis taliled a 59.
Also scoring for Mattoon were Taylor Beason 47, Katie Holsapple 49 and Whitney Meaker 49. Non-counting scores were Alexis Dean 49 and Natalie Zimmer 56.
At Effingham
Teutopolis played host to Casey-Westfield and Windsor in boys golf action at the Effingham Country Club Thursday and came out a winner.
The Wooden Shoes tallied 173 followed by Casey-Westfield 197 and Windsor 223. Neoga's Luke Baker was medalist with a 37.
Scoring for T-town were Evan Schlink 42, Christian Deters 43, Keegan Meyer 43 and Dylan Buenker 45. Non-counting were Keegan Meyer 43 and Dylan Buenker 45.
