Effingham Wins Over St. Anthony in Tiebreaker, Teutopolis Third

Effingham and St. Anthony's first four golfers matched each other shot-for-shot Friday, so it came down to the fifth place scores to decide a girls triangular.
Effingham and St. Anthony's first four each had a 174 total score, but Effingham's Madison Weis outshot St. Anthony's McKenna Steineman, 59 to 73, to give Effingham the victory in a match at Effingham Country Club. Teutopolis finished third with a 205 total.
Effingham's Morgan Wilson and Alex Brummer each shot a 39, while Hope Collier posted a 45 and Kaylee Tonn shot a 51 as counters. St. Anthony's Madison Bushue also fired a 39, Mariah Bushue shot a 44, Kyla Burton a 45 and Abbie Schmidt a 46 as counters.
Casey Willenborg was low for Teutopolis with a 45, Ellie Ruholl shot a 49, Katie Thoele a 54, and Madison Magee a 57.
With the victory, Effingham improved to 16-3 on the season.
