Effingham High School played host to Vandalia and handed the Vandals a 147-196 boys golf loss Tuesday.
Jackson Wendling continued his hot play with an incredible five-under-par 31.
"This was a good start for our individual matches," said EHS Coach Jeff Schafer. "Jackson's 31 is the lowest score a kid has shot in a match since I have been the coach which is 15 years and he almost had a 29. Callaway Smith had a real good 36 and Jake Linders and Reed Scahfer didn't play as good as they can but still managed 39 and 41. A 147 is a great score for us, hopefully, we will get tomorrow's match at Charleston in."
