(Hoylake, England) -- The 143rd Open Championship is underway at Royal Liverpool Golf Club in Hoylake, England. The event returns to Hoylake for the first time since 2006 when Tiger Woods captured his second straight Open Championship and third overall.

Phil Mickelson won last year at Muirfield for his fifth career major championship.
