Kaymer Leads U.S. Open After First Round

(Pinehurst, NC) -- Martin Kaymer is atop the leaderboard after the first day of the U.S. Open. He shot a five-under 65 Thursday on Pinehurst Number-Two to grab a three-shot lead after day one.  Kevin Na [[ Nah ]], Graeme McDowell, Brendon de Jonge and Fran Quinn are all tied for second at minus-two. Six-time U.S. Open runner-up Phil Mickelson shot an even-par 70 in his first round. Tiger Woods is not playing as he recovers from back surgery.
