49ers Cruise Past Redskins

(Landover, MD) -- Colin Kaepernick threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns as the 49ers cruised to a 27-6 win over the Redskins at FedEx Field.  Anquan Boldin had five catches for 94 yards and two TD's, while Vernon Davis added four grabs for 70 yards and a score for San Francisco, which snapped a two-game skid and improved to 7-and-4 on the season. The Niners currently hold the sixth and final playoff spot in the NFC. Robert Griffin the Third finished 17-of-27 for 127 yards and an interception for the 'Skins, who managed just 190 yards of total offense. Alfred Morris was held to 52 yards on 14 carries in defeat. Washington has lost three straight to dip to 3-8.


Rams Prepare for Niners

(Earth City, MO) -- The Rams are getting ready for another tough match-up this week. They will travel to San Francisco Sunday to take on the 49ers. The Rams are searching for their third-straight win after big victories over the Indianapolis Colts and the Chicago Bears. The Niners are 7-4.


Bears' Cutler Likely To Miss Third Straight Game

(Lake Forest, IL) -- The Bears are expected to be without quarterback Jay Cutler again this weekend. Head coach Marc Trestman says Cutler will likely miss his third straight game with a high-ankle sprain as the Bears play Sunday at Minnesota. Cutler was hurt November 10th against Detroit.
