Saints Slip Past Falcons

(Atlanta, GA) -- Drew Brees threw for 278 yards and two touchdowns as the Saints slipped past the Falcons 17-13 on "Thursday Night Football" at the Georgia Dome.  Brees has now thrown for 49,564 yards in his career, surpassing Warren Moon for fifth place on the NFL's all-time list. Jimmy Graham had five catches for 100 yards and a TD, while Benjamin Watson also had a TD grab for the Saints, who improved to 9-and-2 with their third straight win. Pierre Thomas ran for 73 yards on 10 carries and had five catches for 57 yards in the victory. Steven Jackson had 16 touches for 63 yards and the lone score for the Falcons, who have lost five in-a-row to dip to 2-and-9 on the year. Matt Ryan was 29-of-38 for 281 yards in defeat.

 

Bears Thursday Injury Report

(Lake Forest, IL) -- The Chicago Bears released their second injury report of the week as they prepare for Sunday's matchup with the Rams in St. Louis. The Bears won't have linebacker Lance Briggs nor quarterback Jay Cutler this week. Defensive tackle Stephen Paea did not practice on Thursday due to a toe injury, and nose tackle Jay Ratliff was limited with a groin injury.

 

Rams' Bradford Has Surgery

(Earth City, MO) -- Rams quarterback Sam Bradford is recovering from surgery this week. Bradford had a left knee operation on Monday and is out for the season after tearing an ACL on October 20th. The Rams' third backup, Brady Quinn, is dealing with a back problem and didn't practice Thursday. The Rams will take on the 6-4 Chicago Bears Sunday.
