Bengals, Dolphins Duel On Thursday Night

(Miami, FL) -- Teams streaking in opposite directions meet in this week's Thursday night game as the Cincinnati Bengals face the Miami Dolphins at Sun Life Stadium. Cincinnati is seeking its fifth straight win and leads the AFC North at 6-2. The Bengals blasted the Jets 49-9 this past Sunday behind a career-high five touchdown passes from quarterback Andy Dalton. Dalton says the offense has really hit its stride the past few weeks.

The Dolphins are looking to avoid a fifth straight loss. Miami suffered a 27-17 setback at New England in Week Eight to slip to 3-and-4.  Ryan Tannehill has been sacked a league-high 32 times and has lost five fumbles this season.

Niners' Smith Exits Rehab, Turns Himself In To Police

(Santa Clara, CA) -- San Francisco linebacker Aldon Smith left rehab and almost immediately surrendered to authorities Tuesday night. The 24-year-old turned himself in on weapons charges, in agreement with Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen that he do so once he finished his treatment program. The linebacker is scheduled to appear in court on November 12 in connection with the weapons charges and then on November 19 in connection with the DUI charges.

Bears Linebacker Briggs Hopes To Return Soon

(Lake Forest, IL) -- Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs hopes to return sooner rather than later. Briggs is recovering from a fractured shoulder. He is supposed to be out four-to-six weeks but wants to be back on the field in two-to-three weeks. He was hurt on October 20 in a 45-41 loss to the Washington Redskins.
