Seahawks Win Nail Biter

(St. Louis, MO) -- The Seahawks defense stopped the Rams on the one-yard line on the last play of the game to secure a 14-9 victory at the Edward Jones Dome. Russell Wilson was 10-of-18 for 139 yards and two touchdowns including an 80-yard connection with Golden Tate. Tate finished with five receptions for 93 yards and he hauled in both scores for Seattle, which is 7-and-1 for the first time in franchise history. Rams defensive end Robert Quinn had three sacks, all in the first half and Zac Stacy ran for a career-high 134 yards. St. Louis has dropped their last two to fall to 3-5. Seahawks wide out Sidney Rice left with a knee injury and did not return.

 

Bears Sign QB Palmer, LB Grant

(Lake Forest, IL) -- The Bears signed quarterback Jordan Palmer and linebacker Larry Grant to the active roster Monday. Palmer will backup Josh McCown, who inherited the starting role following the injury to Jay Cutler. Grant has 64 tackles and five sacks in 66 career games. Chicago waived tight end Steve Maneri. The Bears are at the Packers on "Monday Night Football" for Week Nine.
