EHS Plays Final Regular Season Football Game

Effingham High School hits the road for its final regular season football game Friday evening. The Hearts will travel to Mahomet-Seymour for a 7 p.m. non-conference contest.
The Hearts finished second in the Apollo Conference standings with a 4-1 record behind league-winner Mattoon with a perfect 5-0 mark. The top two were followed by Mount Zion 3-2, Salem 2-3, Paris 1-4 and Charleston 0-5.
EHS is at .500 overall with a 4-4 record.
In the Little Illini (Eastern) Conference, Casey-Westfield picked up the title again with a perfect 5-0 record and stands at 8-0 overall. Oblong finished second at 3-2 followed by Palestine 2-3, Red Hill (Bridgeport) 2-3, Cumberland 2-3 and Edwards County (Albion) 1-4.
In the Little Illini (Egyptian) Conference, Olney and Robinson finished tied atop the standings with a 4-1 record followed by Lawrenceville 3-2, Newton 3-2, Marshall 1-4 and Flora 0-5.
