Rams Add Quarterbacks

(Earth City, MO) -- The Rams have added a pair of quarterbacks to their team with starter Sam Bradford done for the season due to injury.  Veteran Brady Quinn was picked up after being released by the New York Jets earlier in the week. The Rams also signed former Southern Mississippi quarterback Austin Davis. The two will back up new starter Kellen Clemens.

Bears' Bennett Not Happy With 'Skins' Meriweather

(Lake Forest, IL) -- Bears tight end Martellus Bennett isn't holding back on his feelings toward suspended Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather.  Bennett says he wants to "punch Meriweather in the face" after his illegal hits in Sunday's game. Meriweather was suspended two games by the NFL, but is appealing the ban.

The Bears are getting some time off. Players will have at least four days away from Halas Hall this week before getting back to work.  At 4-and-3, the Monsters of the Midway are tied with Detroit and a half-game back of Green Bay in the NFC North. The Bears play at the Packers one week from Monday.

Freeman To Remain Vikes Starter

(Minneapolis, MN) -- Despite woeful start in his Vikings debut, Josh Freeman will remain Minnesota's starting quarterback. Head coach Leslie Frazier gave Freeman a vote of confidence saying the QB will start Sunday against the Packers. Freeman was 20-of-53 for 190 yards and an interception in Monday's loss.
