Apollo Conference, Little Illini Conference Standings, Schedules

Effingham High School dropped out of a tie for first place with a loss to Mattoon last week in the Apollo Conference football standings.
The Hearts fell to Mattoon 46-28. The Green Wave now stand alone at the top with a perfect 4-0 record and is 5-2 overall. EHS drops into a second place tie with Mount Zion with 3-1 conference marks and identical 3-4 overall records.
The Hearts will travel to Mount Zion Friday evening for a 7 p.m. conference meeting and will end the regular season next Friday with a non-conference contest at Jerseyville Jersey.
Paris and Salem follow at 1-3 in the standings while Charleston brings up the rear with an 0-4 record.
In the Little Illini (Eastern) Conference, Casey-Westfield remains the dominant force with a perfect 5-0 record and is undefeated at 7-0 overall. Oblong is second at 3-2 while Palestine, Cumberland and Red Hill (Bridgeport) are tied for third at 2-3. Edwards County (Albion) is at the bottom of the heap with a 1-4 mark.
In the Little Illini (Egyptian) Conference, Olney and Robinson are tied atop the standings with 4-1 conference marks followed by Newton and Lawrenceville tied for second at 3-2, Marshall at 1-4 and Flora at 0-5.
