The Millikin University football team lost at fourth-ranked North Central College 55-7 Saturday in Naperville.

The Big Blue entered the game against the NCAA DIII's fourth-rated team without its top three defensive linemen and top six linebackers.  The Cardinals wasted no time jumping on the Big Blue's inexperienced defense for three touchdowns in each of the first two quarters.

The Millikin offense struggled against the North Central defense with two interceptions and losing two fumbles.  North Central had 550 yards in total offense while holding Millikin to 212 yards.

Eric Whitaker, a senior from Effingham, was moved to center instead of his usual left guard position due to the regular center being injured.  Whitaker was noted as Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts.
