Lions Burleson Breaks Arm In Car Accident

(Allen Park, MI) -- Detroit Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson is slated to have surgery today for a broken arm.  Burleson was injured during a single-car freeway crash Tuesday morning. Police say no alcohol was involved. Burleson was reportedly distracted by a pizza box falling off the seat.  He's not expected to miss the rest of the season.

 

Cowboys' Spencer May Need Microfracture Surgery

(Irving, TX) -- The season may be over for Dallas Cowboys defensive end Anthony Spencer. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones tells 105.3 "The Fan" in Dallas that Spencer may need microfracture surgery on his left knee. Spencer already had knee surgery at the end of July and has missed two of the Cowboys' three games this season.

 

Penn State To See Scholarships Restored

(State College, PA) -- Penn State football is gradually getting scholarships back following the Jerry Sandusky scandal. They were stripped away for what the NCAA called a "football first" culture. The program will be restored to 85 scholarships gradually by the 2016-2017 school year.
