(Cincinnati, OH) -- Andy Dalton threw for 280 yards and a touchdown as the Bengals picked up a 20-10 win over the Steelers at Paul Brown Stadium. Dalton says this was a big victory on a big stage.

Dalton hit rookie Giovani Bernard on a 27-yard TD strike midway through the third and the defense stifled Pittsburgh from there. Bernard also ran for 38 yards and a score while Benjarvus Green-Ellis totaled 75 yards on the ground. The Bengals bounced back from a season-opening loss in Chicago to improve to 1-1. Ben Roethlisberger threw for 251 yards with a touchdown and interception in defeat. Felix Jones had 37 of the Steelers' 44 total rushing yards. Pittsburgh is 0-2 for the first time since 2002.

 

NFL Powerhouses Lose Left Tackles

A pair of early-season NFL favorites will be without their starting left tackles for some time. The Denver Broncos will be missing Pro Bowler Ryan Clady who has a Lisfranc injury on his left foot.  He could miss the rest of the year. The Seattle Seahawks will have to deal without Russell Okung, who has a torn toe ligament according to ESPN.

 

Nebraska's Pelini Apologizes After Audio Tirade

(Lincoln, NE) -- Nebraska head football coach Bo Pelini is offering apologies after audio from a profanity-laced rant in 2011 was released. Deadspin.com posted the audio of the Cornhuskers' coach in which he criticizes "fair-weather" fans and lashes out at reporters following win over Ohio State. The audio was reportedly recorded without Pelini's knowledge.
