(Foxboro, MA) -- Tim Tebow is a member of the New England Patriots. Tebow survived yesterday's round of cuts in which all NFL teams had to be down to 75 players. Tebow didn't play in last week's preseason game, but could be battling for a job in the preseason finale Thursday. All teams have to finalize a 53-man roster by Saturday evening.

Manziel Reportedly Denies Wrongdoing

(College Station, TX) -- Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel is denying he was compensated for signing autographs. CBSSports.com cites a source as saying the reigning Heisman Trophy winner told the NCAA he did not accept money from brokers for signing memorabilia. Head coach Kevin Sumlin says he's not prepared to say whether Manziel will play in Saturday's season opener against Rice.

ESPN reported that Manziel met with NCAA investigators for six hours Sunday after allegations he received money for different signing sessions, including at the BCS National Championship Game in January. Manziel's eligibility could come into question as the sixth-ranked Aggies host Rice Saturday. If Manziel plays and is later ruled ineligible by the NCAA, Texas A&M would forfeit those games.
