Cowboys' Brent Released From Jail

(Dallas, TX) -- A judge is letting Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Josh Brent out of jail. The judge ordered Brent's release Sunday, after he was put behind bars last month for failing a drug test. Brent is charged with intoxicated manslaughter for allegedly driving drunk in a crash last year which killed teammate Jerry Brown Jr. Brent is still on the Cowboys roster.

 

Golson To Return To ND Next Spring

(South Bend, IN) -- Everett Golson is planning a return to Notre Dame.  The former Fighting Irish quarterback says he intends to re-enroll in the spring with the intention to return to the football team. The Irish suspended Golson in May for "poor academic judgment." Golson started 11 games last season as a redshirt freshman for Notre Dame, including the BCS National Championship where the Irish lost to Alabama.
