Tennessee Tech edged Eastern Illinois University, 20-17 Saturday in football action.

EIU held a 3-0 opening quarter lead and led 17-3 at halftime. But Tennessee Tech came back with a 10-0 third quarter and won the game in the final period.

TTU had 35 carries for 183 yards while Eastern had 49 carries for 161 yards. EIU connected on seven of 19 passes.

EIU's Stone Gallaway hit a field goal in the opening quarter. Jonah O'Brien went in from one yard out in the second period and Galloway kicked the extra point. The second EIU touchdown in the third quarter came on a Mark Aitken blocked field goal return and Galloway kicked the extra point.
