(Lake Forest, IL) -- The Bears are bringing back cornerback Kelvin Hayden. The two sides agreed on a one-year contract Tuesday. The deal is expected to be finalized and signed today. Hayden had explored his options in free agency before deciding to return to Chicago.

 

Kroenke Ranked Second-Richest Owner In NFL

Rams owner Stan Kroenke has been ranked by Forbes as the second-richest owner in the NFL. He is reportedly worth $5 billion, a distant second to Seattle Seahawks owner Paul Allen who has a net worth of $15 billion. Stephen Ross of the Miami Dolphins and Malcolm Glazer of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers share third place at $4.4 billion.

 

Cowboys Stadium "Virtual Lock" To Host College Football Championship

(Arlington, TX) -- Cowboys Stadium is reportedly set to be the first site for the championship game in college football's new four-team playoff system. ESPN reports the venue is the overall favorite to land the January 2015 game.  Tampa, Florida was the only other city to submit a bid for the game.

 

Te'o Holds Pro Day In South Bend

(South Bend, IN) -- Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o improved his 40-yard dash time at Tuesday's Pro Day. The Heisman Trophy finalist posted times of 4.75 and 4.71 as he worked out for prospective NFL teams. He came under scrutiny after running a sluggish 4.82 40-yard dash at last month's NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. Te'o was also at the center of a girlfriend hoax that took the nation by storm in January.
