(Landover, MD) -- The Browns quarterbacks took center stage in their 24-23 loss to the Redskins in preseason action from FedEx Field. Brian Hoyer got the start and rotated with Johnny Manziel in the first half. Hoyer was 2-for-6 for 16 yards and was sacked once. Manziel played deep into the second half, going 7-for-16 for 65 yards and a touchdown. Manziel was put on the ground three times. Neither quarterback was especially impressive.

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel is getting all kinds of attention, but it's not all for his play on the field. "Johnny Football" was caught on camera during Monday night's preseason game against the Redskins issuing the middle finger to the Washington sideline. Manziel's "bird" was shared in screen shots throughout social media following the incident. Manziel is battling with Brian Hoyer for the starting job this preseason.


Bears Gear Up For Seahawks

(Lake Forest, IL) -- Wide receiver Santonio Holmes practiced with the Bears yesterday at Halas Hall for the first time since signing with the team. The Bears are preparing for Friday's third preseason game against the Seahawks in Seattle. Chicago opens the regular season September 7 hosting Buffalo.


Rams Give Free Tickets To Three Local High Schools

(Ferguson, MO) -- The Rams are reaching out to some of the high school players affected by the events going on in Ferguson. St. Louis will give away free tickets to football players from McCleuer High, McCluer North and McCluer South for its preseason game against Green Bay this weekend. This comes amid the protests and rioting that have followed the recent shooting of unarmed teenager Michael Brown by the local police.
