Teutopolis Finishes Sixth at Junior High State Boys Meet

Teutopolis took sixth place honors at the boys junior high cross country state meet Saturday.

Here are the five counters for Teutopolis and how they finished as members of a team competing at the state meet: Jarrett Hardiek 8th, Jacob Schmidt 17th, Ian Copple 66th, Alex Probst 67th, and Kyele Mossman 101st.

As individuals, here is how all of the area runners finished:

For Teutopolis--Jarrett Hardiek 15th, Jacob Schmidt 25th, Ian Copple 93rd, Alex Probst 95th, Kyele Mossman 137th, Jason Kowalski 162nd, Adam Kremer 184th.

For St. Anthony/Sacred Heart--Clayton Helmink 40th, Dylan Guy 116th.

For Cumberland--Kort McClellan 31st, Blake Sutherland 55th.

For Jasper County--Ben Carr 142nd

Two local girls competed at the state cross country meet Saturday.

Eighth grader Morgan Gerhardt of Cumberland finished 42nd, while Ava Wegman finished 112th.

The state meets were held in Normal.
