Effingham Boys, Girls Both Finish Fifth at Apollo Meet

The Effingham Hearts finished fifth in both the Apollo Conference boys and girls meets Tuesday at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston.

Effingham senior Jenna Bingham shined in the girls race, though, finishing third with a time of 19:27.89. 

Mattoon won the girls meet with 32 points.  Other results: Mt. Zion second with 43 points, Charleston third with 61 points, Salem fourth with 95 points, Effingham fifth with 120 points, and Paris sixth with 159 points.

Other results for Effingham: Madi Woelfer 25th in 23:06.61, Kelly Keitel 29th in 24:31.76, Jaclyn Steppe 30th in 24:46.68, Kade Spencer 33rd in 25:12.44, and McKenzie Crowell 34th in 25:12.52. 

Mt. Zion won the boys meet with 35 points.  Other results: Charleston second with 44 points, Mattoon third with 63 points, Salem fourth with 86 points, Effingham fifth with 135 points, and Paris sixth with 180 points.
