Effingham High School and the community will be honoring Nick Nosbisch's family at the Red Out boys basketball game this Friday as the Hearts host Mattoon.

Nick, a former EHS player and coach, passed away from cancer in July of 2013. A special ceremony will be held in between the junior varsity and varsity games honoring Nick’s achievements and recognizing his courageous fight against cancer.

Before the game, Effingham cheerleaders will be handing out newly designed “Team Nos” shirts free of charge. Organizers are calling this a Red Out game and asking all EHS fans to wear red and pack the gym.
