Altamont Edges Patoka, CH Falls, SE/B Wins

Altamont High School played host to Patoka and edged the Warriors 53-51 in a non-conference boys basketball contest Saturday.

Altamont edged out to a 14-13 first quarter lead and led 24-21 at halftime. Patoka came back with a 24-16 run as D. Bock nailed four three-pointers in the quarter and the Warriors led 45-40 going into the final period. The Indians then had a 13-6 run as Derek Jahraus scored eight points and Garrett Ziegler added five.

Ziegler finished with 17 points to lead the way while Jahraus tallied 15.

At Ramsey

Ramsey jumped out to a 16-4 opening quarter lead and had a 40-28 second half run for a 65-39 win over Cowden-Herrick Saturday.

Ramsey held a 25-11 first half lead. Knisley tallied 23 and Kelly 20 for the winners. Cowden-Herrick was led by Barnes with 17 and Blackerby with 10.

At St. Elmo

St. Elmo/Brownstown took a 16-13 opening quarter lead before Central A&M came back with a 19-10 run to lead 32-26 at halftime. Central A&M pushed that lead to 50-40 going into the final quarter.

The Eagles then came back to tie the score, sending the game into overtime where they outscored Central A&M 8-6 to pull out the 66-64 victory.

Jacob Behrends and Levi Maxey tallied 16 points while while Malachi Maxey scored 15.
