Tri-County Edges Cumberland in Boys Action

TOLEDO -- Tri-County High School came calling at Cumberland and edged the Pirates 51-48 Thursday evening in boys basketball action.

The Pirates held a 12-6 opening quarter lead and still led 26-22 at halftime. Tri-County came back with a 17-8 third period run to lead 39-34 and held off a final quarter challenge for the win. Tyler Wright tallied 24 to lead the winners while Nick Hendrix added 12.

Houston Napier led Cumberland with 14 points while Brandon Shoan added 13 and Caleb Brumleve 11. The Pirates drop to 3-14 on the season.
