As specialists in fourth quarter rallies and explosions, Tuesday night's game for the St. Anthony Bulldogs was a little unusual.

St. Anthony exploded out of the gate at Neoga on their way to a 59-21 win over the Indians in a game heard on 979XFM and www.979xfm.com.

The Bulldogs shot just under 70% from the field over the first three quarters, making 22 of 32 shots.  Lest you think they were all layups, the Bulldogs made eight of nine three-point shots during the stretch.  All in all, quite an offensive output.

Neil Williams was the catalyst for the Bulldogs, scoring 25 points, 19 of those in the first half. Williams made 10 of 11 shots from the field while grabbing four rebounds and contributing an assist.  Alex Hoelscher had a good night, scoring eight points, grabbing seven rebounds, registering two assists and blocking five shots.  Also for the Bulldogs: John Goeckner seven, Matt Gibson six, Andrew Gardewine four, and Zach Gardewine and Derek Rios two apiece.  In his first extended varsity appearance, Kyle Hartke scored five points.

Neoga made just eight of 37 shots as the St. Anthony defense was almost as good as the offense.

Jake Baker had a good night for Neoga, scoring 15 of the team's 21 points and grabbing five of their 10 rebounds.  Wyatt Krikie, Neoga's leading scorer was held to four points, and Luke Baker scored the other two points.

St. Anthony improved to 12-4 on the season and remained undefeated in National Trail Conference play and will play host to Breese Mater Dei Friday night.

Neoga is now 7-9 on the season, 1-3 in the conference.

St. Anthony won the JV game 45-21.  Kyle Hartke paced the JV Bulldogs with 17 points.  Trevor Moore led Neoga with 11 points.
