Brownstown/St. Elmo, Neoga Capture Girls Wins

Brownstown/St. Elmo played host to Dieterich in girls high school basketball and claimed a 65-46 National Trail Conference victory Monday evening.
Dieterich held a 16-12 opening quarter lead but B/SE came back with a 20-8 run to lead 32-24 at halftime and never looked back.
Bethany Oberlink tallied 25 points, connecting on 10 field goals and five of six free throws. Audrianna Pruett also hit double digits with 13.
Dieterich was led by Mallorie Vahling with 22 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five steals. The Movin' Maroons drop to 0-2 in the conference, 5-8 overall.

North Clay (Louisville) handed Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City a 59-27 non-conference loss Monday evening.
The Cardinals held a 27-17 halftime lead then had a 32-10 second half run. Bible led the way for the Cardinals with 27 points while K. Stanfield chipped in with 14.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City was led by Ward with nine points and Herrmann with eight.

Altamont traveled to Carlyle for a non-conference contest and fell to the homestanders 53-37.
Carlyle trailed Altamont 14-10 after the opening quarter then edged ahead 26-24 at halftime. Carlyle pushed that lead to 43-33 going into the final period and had a 10-4 run.
Altamont was led by M. Ohnesorge with 19 points, connecting on four trifectas in the contest.

The Indians held a 24-22 halftime lead and still led by two heading into the final period. Neoga then had a 13-12 final quarter run to pull out the three-point victory.
