Fighting Illini Open Big 10 Play w/Win

The Illinois Fighting Illini opened Big 10 play Wednesday with an 83-80 overtime win over the Indiana Hoosiers.

The game was tied 71-71 at the end of regulation at the State Farm Center before Illinois outpointed Indiana 12-9 in the overtime to post the win.  

Rayvonte Rice led Illinois with 29 points, including two free throws with two seconds left in the game to give the Illini their three-point margin of victory

The Fighting Illini get a few days off before hosting Penn State on Saturday in Champaign.
