Pacers Pound Celtics Behind Stephenson
(Indianapolis, IN) -- Lance Stephenson posted his third triple-double of the year to lead the Pacers in a 106-79 win over the Celtics at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Stephenson had 12 points with 10 assists and 10 rebounds while Paul George netted 24 points in the win. Roy Hibbert added 15 points and 12 boards while Danny Granger hit 4-of-5 three-pointers on his way to 12 points. Indiana has won four out of six. Avery Bradley led Boston with 13 points and six rebounds while Jeff Green added 11 points with six boards. The Celtics have lost three straight.
Clippers Steal One From T'Wolves
(Los Angeles, CA) -- Jamal Crawford scored four points in the final 18 seconds of regulation to send the game to overtime and the Clippers snatched away a 120-116 victory from the Timberwolves at the STAPLES Center. Crawford finished with 22 points, while Blake Griffin tallied a double-double with 32 points and 10 rebounds. Chris Paul posted 19 points, 13 assists and six rebounds for Los Angeles, which won its fifth straight. Kevin Love's 45 points, 19 rebounds and six assists weren't enough for Minnesota. Nikola Pekovic went off for 34 points and 14 rebounds, but missed a short hook shot with five seconds left in OT that would have tied the game. The T'wolves have lost three of four.
Raptors Claim Win Over Thunder
(Oklahoma City, OK) -- Some nights in the NBA, a team can get the looks at the rim that it wants, but the shots just don’t fall. In a 104-98 loss at Chesapeake Energy Arena to the Toronto Raptors, the Thunder couldn’t find their shooting stroke, but battled with togetherness throughout the night to give itself a chance to win. Despite shooting just 36.8 percent from the field, many clean looks that normally go down, the Thunder was in a tie ball game with just over a minute remaining.
Bulls Meet Nets Wednesday
(Brooklyn, NY) -- The Bulls take on the Nets in Brooklyn Wednesday for a Christmas Day clash from the Barclays Center. Chicago beat the Cavaliers Saturday to move to 10-16. The Nets are 9-17 and face the Pacers tonight. Tip is set for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday.
