Duke Uses Big First Half To Put Away Gardner Webb

(Durham, NC) -- Blue Devils guard Quinn Cook nearly registered a double-double as Duke handled Gardner Webb with ease 85-66 from Cameron Indoor Stadium.  Cook scored 16 points while dishing out nine assists, and freshman Jabari Parker added 21 points and six rebounds in the win. The Devils improved to 8-2 on the season. Next, Duke heads to Madison Square Garden to face UCLA for the Jimmy V Classic.  

 

Illinois Back In Action Saturday

(Champaign, IL) -- Illinois basketball has a few more days before taking the court. The Fighting Illini will travel to St. Louis for Saturday's matchup against Missouri at the Scottrade Center. The Illini are off to a 9-2 start following Saturday's loss to Oregon. Mizzou is 10-0 on the campaign.

 

Mizzou Cracks Top-25 Poll

Missouri is making the grade in this week's "USA Today" top-25 college basketball poll. The Tigers check in at No. 25 this week after previously being unranked. Mizzou beat Western Michigan 66-60 Saturday to move to 10-0. Arizona remains number-one in the nation.

In college hoops last night, Northwestern handled Mississippi Valley State 86-64 and Chicago State notched an 81-64 win over SIU-Edwardsville. DePaul takes on Houston Baptist Wednesday while Northern Illinois plays at Loyola. Notre Dame faces Ohio State Saturday.
