High school basketball scores from Friday, December 6th action:

Effingham 65, Charleston 29 (separate story on this page)

Teutopolis 45, Breese Central 44 (Reed Hardiek hit a three-point shot with nine seconds left in the game to give the Wooden Shoes their first lead of the night.  Breese Central missed a shot at the buzzer and the Shoes claimed the win. Brett Mette led the Wooden Shoes with 18 points and Bobby Wenthe scored 15 points.  Also for Teutopolis: Reed Hardiek eight and Drees four.  The Wooden Shoes are home to Salem Tuesday night for Homecoming at JH Griffin Gym)

Beecher City 62, Cowden-Herrick 44 (Brady Barnes had a big game for the Eagles with 23 points and 10 rebounds.  Adam Doty was in double figures with 11 points and Austin Rexroad had nine points and eight rebounds.  Colton Burrus led the Hornets with 17 points.  Beecher City, now 2-0 at the varsity level, also won the JV game 49-27)

Dieterich 47, Stewardson-Strasburg 32 (Tanner Traub led Dieterich with 14 points and Devin Aherin was also in double figures with 12 points.  Brandon Helmuth led Stew-Stras with 10 points.  It was Comets vs. Cancer Night at Stew-Stras)

St. Elmo/Brownstown 45, Neoga 40 (Levi Maxey with 20 and Jake Behrends with 15 led St. Elmo/Brownstown to the win.  Wyatt Krikie with 17 and Jake Baker with 10 points led Neoga)

Sullivan 57, Windsor 48 (Alex Allen with 17 points, Hayden Cole with 13 and Tristan Warner with 13 points led the Blue Devils in scoring)
