Altamont posted a season-opening win Tuesday, downing Vandalia 64-55 in high school girls basketball.
Maddie Ohnesorge led Altamont with 20 points, while Lauren Ohnesorge and Danielle Vaughn each scored 10 points.

Altamont led 14-10 after one quarter, 32-29 at halftime and and 46-44 after three quarters before outscoring Vandalia 18-11 in the final stanza to salt the game away.
