Lightning Claim Top Finishes During Weekend Action

The fourth-grade Lightning captured first place.

During Saturday competition, the fourth, fifth and sixth grade Lightning teams played in the Parkland Shootout in Champaign.

The fourth place squad with coaches Jason Fox and Justin Pals, captured first place. The sixth-grade squad, coached by Ron Webb, Austin Webb and Rob Snow, also captured the championship. The fifth-grade team, with coaches Jason Woomer and Chad Thompson, took second place.

The third, fourth, fifth and sixth grade Lightning teams have their first home games this Saturday at Effingham Junior HIgh School against Vandalia.

The fifth-grade Lighting took second place.

The sixth-grade Lightning team won first place.
