Area Players Earn Boys, Girls All-State Honors

Several area players earned boys and girls All-State Basketball honors.

For the boys, Effingham St. Anthony's Brock Fearday, a senior, was named to the Class 1A First Team while Ryan Schmidt, also a senior, was named to the Second Team.

Dieterich's Lucas Westendorf, a senior, earned Third Team honors.

Other First Team members were Tyjuan Hunter (Chicago Hope Academy), Adam Awender (Lanark Eastland), Cole Tripp (Goreville), Cooper Hoffman (Pecatonica), Gage Peterson (Waltonville), Ross Robertson (South Beloit), Jayden  Riley (Yorkville Christian), Malachi Persinger (Peoria Christian) and Luke Blackford (Springfield Calvery).

Second Team members were Bryson Mossman (Jacksonville Routt), Nathaniel Marlow (Webber Township), Kam Sweetnam (Tuscola), Aidan Anderson (Okawville), Colin Monan (Mounds Meridian), Martin Ledbetter (Hinckley Big Rock), Kyle Cooper (Waltonsville), Parker Krogman (Lanark Eastland) and Talon Albrecht (Greenfield-Northwestern).

Other Third Team members were Jaden Simmons (Chicago Hope Academy), Jayden Taylor (Chicago Fenger),  Melvin Hines (Collins Steam Academy), James Huisinga (Armstrong Potomac), Brody Culbertson (East  Dubuque), Jaxon Diedrich (Pecatonica), Gavin Walder (Peoria Christian), Braden Phillips (Arcola), Elijah Bell (Elgin Harvest Christian), Hayden Parcel (Casey-Westfield), Sam Edmundson (Leroy), Blake Schwartz (Payson-Seymour), Nick King (Goreville) and Tucker Sennett (Princeville).

St. Anthony's Nancy Ruholl earned First Team honors. Dayana Haslett of Brownstown/St. Elmo was named to the Second Team. Third Team honors went to Brynn Richards (Neoga) and Adysen Rios (St. Anthony).

Earning Special Mention were Addie Nuxoll (St. Anthony) and Macee Rodman (Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City).

Other First Team members were Lucy Corley (Decatur St. Teresa), Lauren Flowers (Carrollton), Gracie Furlong (Galena), Kenzie Kassing (Brown County),  Addison Lucht (Cissna Park), Soraya Parker (Rockford Lutheran), Kennedy Quinn (Abingdon-Avon), Elaina Rager (Pecatonica) and Tiara Williams (Morgan Park).

Other Second Team members were Brianna Harms (Roanoke-Benson), Lily Sizemore (GCMS), Savannah Lynch (Elgin St. Edwards), Ava Heinz (Brimfield), Lola Nussmeyer (Edwards County), Laney Cahoon (Orangeville), Alexa Jamison (Salt Fork), Caroline Tepe (Okawville) and Kate Zippich (Calhoun).

Other Third Team members were Lana Scott (Wethersfield), Kacie Sisk (Arcola), Bella VanOpdorp (Annawan) and Zevon Zimbro (Sesser-Valier).

Newton's Camryn Martin, a senior, was named to the Class 2A Second Team.

Chloe Probst, who played for the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes, earned Third Team honors as a senior.

Special Mention went to another Teutopolis player, Anna Probst, a junior.

Other First Team members were Lexi Baer (Peoria Notre Dame), Emma Behrmann (Nashville), Summer Brinkmann (Nashville), Taylor Davidson (Stillman Valley), Dalia Dejesus (Deer Creek-Mackinaw), Macy Groharing (Byron), Lauren Miller (Camp Point Central), Reese Ramsey (Pittsfield), Taylor Trame (Breese Central), Emy Wardle (Peoria Notre Dame) and Anna Weber (Pleasant Plains).

Other Second Team members were Samantha Brinkmann (Nashville), Trinity Davis (Kankakee McNamara), Riley Hershey (Mount Carmel), Sophia Hoffmann (Carlyle), Julia Mingus (Peoria Notre Dame), Karly Peters (Camp Point Central), CeCe Toennies (Breese Central), Adalynn Voss (Rock Island Alleman) and Maris Zurliene (Breese Mater Dei).

Other Third Team members were Ally Poegel (Genoa-Kingston), Maycee Randall (Mount Carmel), Reagan Reed (Illini West), Sam Schmuke (Columbia), Allison Wheeler (Canton) and Nakiyah Williams (Philips).

Effiingham HIgh School had two players earn honors in Class 3A.

Alyssa Martin, a junior, was named to the Third Team while teammate Averie Wolfe, also a junior, was named to the Special Mention Team.

First Team members were Madison Austin (Sterling), Madison Hoffmann (Grayslake), Jamilah Jackson (Westinghouse), Nicolette Kerstein (Montini), Grace Lee (DePaul College Prep), Paityn London (Freeport), Becca McDougall (Washington), Kamree Pollard (Mount Vernon), Reganne Reardon (St. Ignatius) and Avery Tibbs (Washington).
