Effingham Finishes Tied For First In Apollo Conference Girls Standings

The Hearts, along with Mahomet-Seymour and Taylorville, finished with an 8-2 conference record.
The top three teams were followed by Mount Zion 3-7, Mattoon 2-8 and Charleston 1-9.
The Hearts had three players named to the All-Conference teams. Alyssa Martin was named to the First Team while Averie Wolfe and Bella Austin were named to the Second Team.
Also named All-Conference First Team were Addison Tarr (Taylorville), Kylie Waldinger (Mahomet-Seymour), Kyleigh Heimsness (Taylorville) and Reese Gallier (Mahomet-Seymour).
Also named to the Second Team were Mazie Fleming (Taylorville), Ava Anderson (Mount Zion) and Ava Larson (Mattoon).
The Hearts finished with a 25-8 overall record while Mahomet-Seymour was 23-12, Taylorville 19-11, Mount Zion 12-21, Mattoon 8-25 and Charleston 5-24.
