8-3A Teutopolis Regional

Teutopolis took control of the game early against Robinson Nuttel with a 17-10 first quarter lead. They outscored Robinson 9-4 and 10-4 in the middle two quarters and had a 17-10 fourth quarter advantage to win their regional championship 53-28. 

For Teutopolis Blake Niemerg scored 17, Sammy Probst added 15, and Kale Goeckner had 11 points. Grant Tegeler finished with eight while Mark Probst scored two points.

Teutopolis is now 20-6 will play Paris Mayo at Paris Mayo on Monday night at 6:30 for the Sectional title. 

 

8-2A Central A & M Regional

St. Anthony used a strong middle two quarters to propel themselves to a win over St. Elmo/Brownstown 36-18. St. Anthony had the slight edge after the opening period of 8-7. However St. Anthony outscored St.Elmo/Brownstown 9-3 in the second quarter and 15-2 in the third to take charge of the contest. The Eagles did outscore the bullpups 6-5 the final quarter. 

Tingley led all scorers with 14 for St. Anthony. Verdeyen had nine. Seven for Bierman and two points each for Wagner, Sandschafer, and Looman.

St. Emo/Brownstown was led with 12 points from M. Schaub, Grover had three, Davidson two, and L. Schaub ended with one point.

St. Anthony will play at the Hutsonvillle Sectional Monday night at 6:30 against Paris Mayo.

 

8-1A East St. Louis Younge Regional

Altamont Lutheran saw their season come to an end at the hands of East St. Louis Younge by a score of 53-28.

East St. Louis Younge moves on to the Sigel St, Micheal Sectional where they will take on the host school Monday at 6:30.
