The Indians hit 36.1 percent from the field and 54.5 percent from the free throw line. Meanwhile, St. Anthony hit only 25 percent from the field and were 47.8 percent at the line.
Still the Bulldogs came out with an eight point victory as Nancy Ruholl took charge as the lone player in double figures . Ruholl connected on six field goals and was five of five at the line for 20 points. Ruholl got the Bulldogs off in the right direction by connecting on two three-pointers and was four of four at the line in the opening quarter for 10 of the 16 points. Lilly Gannaway, Ady Rios and Addie Lauritzen added a basket each as St. Anthony led 16-6 after that opening quarter.
Altamont came back with an 11-9 second quarter run as Kylie Osteen connected on a three-pointer and a regular basket for five points. St. Anthony held a 25-17 halftime lead.
The two teams played even in the second half going 9-9 in the third quarter and 10-10 in the final period.
Ruholl ended with six field goals and was five of five at the line for 20 points. She pulled down 11 rebounds and finished with four assists.
Rios was on the verge of double digits with nine points.
Altamont was led by Avery Aldrich with three of seven from the field and four of four at the line for 10 points. Osteen tallied nine points and led in rebounds with eight and had two assists. Kaylee Lurkins had six rebounds. Libby Reardon finished with two assists.
St. Anthony is now 3-0 in the National Trail Conference and 8-1 overall.

At Louisville
North Clay (Louisville) edged Dieterich in National Trail Conference play Monday evening, 41-37.
The Cardinals took a 13-9 opening quarter lead as Matia Price went on a seven point run, connecting on two regular baskets and a three-pointer. Sidney Kincaid chipped in with a three-pointer.
Sammi Goebel kept Dieterich in reach with five points.
The Cardinals then pushed their lead to 23-14 at halftime. M. Price and Kincaid hit a three-pointer each and Ava Fleener was two of two at the line.
But here came the Maroons in the third quarter. Dieterich went on a 13-6 run to pull within 29-27. Addison Miller scored five points while Callie Faller added four.
That's the closest Dieterich could come as both teams played to a 12-12 final quarter.
M. Price led the way for the Cardinals with nine field goals, five from three-point land, and was one of two at the line for 24.
Goebel led Dieterich with 10 points on four field goals, two of those three-pointers. Britney Niemerg added nine points on one field goal and seven of eight at the line.
In the junior varity contest, North Clay won 27-4. V. Price scored 11 and Autumn Phililps eight.

At Neoga
Brynn Richards had a big game as Neoga claimed a 70-42 win over South Central when the two National Trail Conference teams met Monday evening.
Richards hit 12 field goals and was five of six at the line for 31 points. Atalie Osborn chipped in with 13 points.
The Indians edged out to a 15-13 opening quarter lead then pushed that to 31-18 at halftime. Neoga had a 20-13 third quarter run.
South Central had two players in double figures. Baylee Brown had 14 points on five field goals and two free throws while Addie Conant added 13 points on six field goals and a free throw.
Neoga improved to 5-3 on the season and is back in action today at Tri-County.

Four players finished in double figures as Teutopolis bounced Pana by an 84-35 count Monday evening.
The Wooden Shoes were led by Chloe Probst with 11 field goals, four coming from three-point range, and three of four at the line for 29 points. Probst scored 10 in the opening quarter 24-9 run. She scored 11 in the Shoes 23-11 second period to lead 47-20 at halftime. Malea Helmink tallied nine points in that second period run.
C. Probst tallied eight more in the third quarter while Kelsey Niemerg also went on a run, nailing three baskets and two free throws for eight.
Finishing in double figures along with C. Probst were Helmink with 15 on seven field goals, one a three-pointer, and Anna Probst and Niemerg with 10 each.
Halmink led the team in rebounds with five and steals with three. C. Probst also had three steals. A. Probst had two assists.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City took a 10-7 opening quarter lead on Shelbyville and finished with a 19-4 final quarter to win 52-40 Monday evening.
The Bobcats's Macee Rodman continued to roll along in the scoring department. Rodman cnonected on eight field goals, one from three-point range, and 12 free throws for 29 points. Also in double figures was Ethel Stuckemeyer with four regular baskets and four free throws for 12.
Rodman also led in rebounds with seven and Stuckemeyer had six. Rodman and Stuckemeyer had three steals each. Carissas Wakefield and Ryleight Sarver had three assists each. Wakefield and rodman had one blocked shot each.
