It was a one-two scoring punch for the Bulldogs in the opening quarter. Ryan Schmidt connected on six baskets, three from beyond the arc, and two of two at the line for 17 points while Brock Fearday hit two three-pointers and three regular baskets for 12 points as the Bulldogs took a 29-15 opening quarter lead.
Cody Zimdars kept the Cardinals in the game, scoring nine points on three baskets, two from three-point range, and a free throw.
North Clay had a 13-11 second quarter as Kade Atwood hit two three-pointers and Mason Byers added five. But the Bulldogs held a 40-28 halftime lead.
Schmidt scored eight in the third quarter run as the Bulldogs had a 14-13 edge. Byers again kept the Cardinals within striking distance with eight points and Atwood added five.
North Clay then had a 17-10 final quarter only to fall short. Lucas Griffy, who hadn't scored through the first three quarters, got on a roll with three baskets and a free throw for eight points.
Schmidt led the St. Anthony charge with 30 points on 10 field goals, five from three-point range, and was five of six at the line. B. Feraday added 26 on 11 field goals, four from three-point range.
North Clay was led by three players in double digits. Byers hit eight field goals and five free throws for 21 points. Zimdars added 12 and Atwood 11.
In the junior varsity contest, St. Anthony was a 60-19 winner. Gabe Looman led with 15 points while Will Vonderheide added 13 and Miles Waldhoff 10.
North Clay was led by Will Ballard with five.
In a freshman/sophomore contest, St. Anthony claimed a 47-16 win. Jonny Gannaway had 13 points for the Bulldogs while Connor Storm added 10.
North Clay was led by Repking and Leonberger with five each.

At Dieterich
Dieterich played host to Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg in National Trail Conference action and claimed a 63-51 win Friday.
The Maroons held a 13-9 opening quarter lead and pushed that to 31-20 at halftime and 51-34 going into the final quarter.
Lucas Westendorf connected on seven field goals, three trom trifecta land, and was five of seven at the line for 22 points. Also in double digits were Landen Keck with 14 and Jaxon Funneman with 10.
The Hatchets were led by Jackson Gurgel with 12 points on five field goals and two free throws and Brody Bible with 11.

Vandalia took the early lead and never relented in a 64-58 win over Altamont in an non-conference matchup Friday evening.
The Vandals held a 32-17 halftime lead. Altamont fought back with a 25-20 third quarter to pull within 52-42 and continued to outscore the Vandals in the final period 16-12 but couldn't get over that first half lead.
Kade Milleville led Altamont with 24 points on 10 field goals, three of those trifectas and one of two at the line. Ben Roedl added 17.
In the junior varsity contest, Vandalia was a 60-52 winner.
Altamont was led by Calvin Bannister with 21 points and Cooper Pals with 14.

Cumberland came out of Friday's evening's contest against Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville with a 51-42 victory.
The Pirates edged out to an 8-7 opening quarter lead then put on a big scoring rush with a 23-5 second period to lead 31-12 at halftime. Chase Stewart hit two three-pointers while Cameron Roedl, Reed Miller and Kaleb Bierman added a three-pointer each.
OPH had a 13-8 third quarter but Cumberland got back on track in the final quarter run as Miller added two more three-pointers to the scoreboard along with three of four from the free throw line for nine points .
Miller finished with 12 points on three three-pointers and three of four at the line.

Paris played host to Newton and sent the Eagles home with a 48-37 loss Friday evening.
The Tigers took a 13-6 opening quarter lead and led 21-16 at halftime.
Newton came back with a 9-7 third quarter edge but Paris finished with a 20-12 final quarter.
Only one player hit double figures for Newton. Hayden Mulvey led the way with four field goals, three of those three-pointers, for 11. Kody Bergbower and Lance Wolk were at the door of double figures with nine each.

At Neoga
St. Elmo/Brownstown picked up a victory over Neoga in Saturday action by a 51-46 count.
Neoga held a 12-8 opening quarter edge as Brayden Ray hit four points in the opening quarter and Carter Young hit a three-pointer.
But St. Elmo/Brownstown came back with a 14-5 second quarter to push into a 22-17 halftime lead. Lowell Wilhour hit a three-pointer and two free throws while Graiden Wilhour added a two-pointer and a three-pointer, also for five points.
The Eagles had a 17-13 third quarter behind G. Wilhour's seven points.
Neoga attempted a comeback in the final quarter with a 16-14 run but SEB finished with a 51-46 win.
SEB's L. Wilhour scored 16 points on four field goals, one from three-point range, and seven of nine at the line. G. Wilhour added 13 points.
Neoga was led by Luke Keller with 14 on five field goals and two of four at the line. He hit two three-pointers.

Patoka won the junior varsity game while South Central claimed the freshman/sophomore contest.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City bounced Ramsey to the tune of 73-13 in Friday evening competition.
CHBC opened with 24-4 first quarter lead. Wyatt Rueff led the way in the quarter with eight points while Remington Howell and Kaidyn Calame scored five each.
Rueff continued on in the second quarter with nine points and Blake Mueller chipped in with six as the Bobcats led 44-8 at halftime.
Rueff knocked in three three-pointers and two regular baskets for 13 and Hunter Pope scored eight.
Rueff finished with 29 points on 12 field goals, three of those from beyond the arc, and two free throws. Also in double figures was Pope with 10. A total of 10 players scored in the contest.
In the junior varsity game, CHBC was a 60-25 winner. Griffin Vaughn scored 20.
