Effingham High School fell to Rantoul in overtime, 48-43 in the opening game Wednesday evening of the St. Anthony Turkey Tournament.

Mattoon was a 79-25 winner over Robinson in the second game.

Edwardsville downed St. Anthony, 68-50.

The tournament continues Friday as Rantoul meets Edwardsville at 3 p.m., Breese Central takes on Robinson at 4:30. Mattoon goes against Champaign Central at 6 p.m. and St. Anthony and Effingham meet at 7:30.

The tournament comes to a close Saturday beginning at 3 p.m.
