(Miami, FL) -- The Miami Heat will celebrate their second straight NBA championship with a victory parade today. Hundreds of thousands of fans are expected to line the streets of downtown as players and coaches pass by. Spectators will not be allowed to bring backpacks as a security measure after the Boston Marathon bombings. The parade will be followed by a special event for season ticket holders at AmericanAirlines Arena.  The Heat beat the San Antonio Spurs to capture the third NBA title in franchise history.

Rivers To Join Clippers In Trade From Boston

Doc Rivers is set to become the newest head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers. The Boston Celtics have agreed to let Rivers out of his contract. Los Angeles will compensate Boston with an unprotected 2015 first round pick.  The agreement is still pending approval from the NBA.  Multiple outlets report that the Clippers will sign Rivers to a three-year, $21-million contract. The deal is also expected to bring Chris Paul back to Los Angeles.
