LeBron Leads Heat To Second Straight NBA Championship

(Miami, FL) -- LeBron James carried the Miami Heat to their second straight NBA Championship, scoring 37 points with 12 rebounds and four assists as they defeated the Spurs 95-88 in Game Seven of the NBA Finals. James knocked down a 19-foot jumper with 27 seconds left to give the Heat a four-point lead. James says this is what he expected when he signed with Miami.

The two-time Finals MVP shot 12-of-23 from the field and hit five shots from behind the arc. Dwyane Wade added 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Shane Battier knocked down six three pointers on his way to 18 points.  It is the third championship in Miami's franchise history. Tim Duncan posted 24 points and 12 rebounds for the Spurs, who lost for the first time in their fifth Finals appearance. Duncan says he won't be able to forget how he failed in the final game.
